We sincerely welcome all of you who visited the website of the Development Council of South Central Region on the South Coast.

The council is a metropolitan administrative council established by nine cities and counties in the central region of the southern coast of Yeonghonam* to achieve east-west harmony and win-win development of the southern coast.

*Yeosu-si, Suncheon-si, Gwangyang-si, Goheung-gun, Boseong-gun in Jeollanam-do and Jinju-si, Sacheon-si, Namhae-gun, Hadong-gun in Gyeongsangnam-do

Since the establishment of the council in 2011, nine cities and counties have joined forces to build the Yeosu-Namhae Undersea Tunnel and the 2nd Namdo Bridge on the Seomjingang River last year, and are strengthening global marketing to enter the global market by promoting agricultural and fisheries products and tourism.

Also it is working together to realize a blueprint drawn together for the development of the South Coast region beyond the boundaries of administrative districts and regions.

We have a lot to do together in the future. We will continue to communicate with the government and strive to find new projects so that the comprehensive plan for development in the southern coastal area can be carried out as planned.
